Abstract: The Long Island Museum shares a selection of photographs from its 2016 history exhibition Long Island in the 1960s. From the burgeoning growth of the Nassau-Suffolk suburbs to the impact of the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair on the region, these images provide a window to an area in the midst of postwar transformation. The exhibition was on view at the museum in its main art gallery from June 24 until December 31, 2016.
